Just about enough to cover the gas it took to get there so atleast we broke even. Managed 18 coins so that has brought my total count to 922 so my ultimate goal of 1,000 coins is getting closer. The day was slow to start with, just 2 5c coins. Nothing worth bragging about, then a decent find, a New Zealand penny though heavily corroded.
We kept at it and slowly the finds started to come in, the first great find was a 1945 silver sixpence.
Over the course of the next few hours I managed 34 coins, a new personal best, the odd find was a sheriffs badge, in metal with makers details on the back, probably a 1950s-1960s piece. A really nice find

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 238px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzqzC0AcAvKhkxcSJHWFb-5yuEgQgXMsF8op8mzOXyqJyJwqlJkBU9z0MQMXoy3diI8XYCSHhwaqvr2uvuhyphenhyphenoM8UL21-0W_HAQNS4CbnKMf_uzXAj1-gbOc46OFNBiJsbnuwBDPYg9QAE/s320/RIMG0003.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495033294498894674" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 176px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3zYayIq2FguxpW6JaKq2nCClIenAyxVwKX6jDraP9lQDbH8_EAlSmEjuw7ldHQhQirtzuTqzxLOvtdstGZua4SkT2jC1eATgweUHcYM5H__NMywlhmmSDS4Quv1UyqzTgcI6vhfMotMk/s320/RIMG0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495033162814347858" />xaalaaxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10345250073019139266noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2496831888310157109.post-74815875889746656072010-07-14T01:40:00.000-07:002010-07-14T01:44:59.852-07:00The Last Hunt with Pictures<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 285px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFAqUUYc8yGFuYJpC1tE5lVV-TZ0p1tdVsTppaDOYFQJj4KqfblFKxHTQ_K9ZdRZEb3NrP8i8HYCvxKl__IG_ZZAWbrw_mHigTWQSfB_uE4OolKNeOz83pZnyg4fz5TLPBTU8ule97Na0/s320/coinstodaypond.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493679688271704962" />
This one is from acouple of weeks ago, all odern coins but still a decent amount.
